The invention relates to a method for executing an information activity in an information system (1) comprising a vehicle-integrated information system (20) of a vehicle (2) and a mobile communication device (3) with an external information system (30), wherein the method comprises the following steps: - detecting an event in which the mobile communication device (30) leaves the vehicle (2); and - upon detection of the event, transferring an information activity executed on the vehicle-integrated information system (20) from the vehicle-integrated information system (20) to the mobile communication device (3). The invention also relates to a corresponding information system and a computer program product.
