Abstract

Morris water maze experiments prove that the qingkailing preparation and the effective components thereof can improve the cognitive dysfunction of senescence accelerated mice; an in-vivo experiments prove that the qingkailing preparation can improve plasticity change of Alzheimers disease model rats synapse damage resulting from A beta 1-42 hippocampal injection; an in vitro experiments prove that the qingkailing preparation and the composition of the effective components thereof including baicalin, jasminoidin, cholic acid and the mother of pearl can improve complete cerebral acetylcholine content of the senescence accelerated mice, can cause relative increment in the dopamine and serotonin levels of central nerve by staying the degradation of the acetylcholine, the dopamine and the serotonin, thus improving the intracerebral monoaminergic system activity, therefore, the Morris water maze experiments are possibly related to the effect of the qingkailing formula on improving the cognitive dysfunction and preventing and treating the senile dementia.
