Abstract

The invention provides a method for preparing an adsorbent by modifying pineapple peel residues, which comprises the following steps of: washing, pulping, filtering and drying the pineapple peel residues, then treating the pineapple peel residues by isopropyl alcohol and then performing the alkalization treatment on the pineapple peel residues by sodium hydroxide; adding succinic anhydride, pyridine or dimethyl sulphoxide into the pineapple peel residues for a modification reaction; and after the reaction is finished, washing and drying the obtained product to obtain the adsorbent used for adsorbing heavy metal ions in wastewater. The method utilizes the pineapple peel residues generated in the pineapple processing to prepare the novel adsorbent, so that the adsorbent has the advantages of rich sources of raw materials, low cost, simple preparation and good absorption effect on metal ions; and the method not only realizes the utilization of wastes, changes wastes into valuables ,adds the value and creates the benefit, but also reduces the pollution to the environment caused by discarding the pineapple peel residues, and ensures that the prepared adsorbent can purify water resources so as to realize the sustainable development of ecological resources.
