The volatile compound methyl thiobutyrate is detected by the following steps that a, the used bacterial strain is achromobacter (Achoromobacter sp.) CD-253, and the preservation number is CGMCC No6358; b, cultivating a CD-253 bacterial strain in an LB culture medium by using a conventional fermentation method, and carrying out headspace extraction on a fermentation liquor by using a solid-phase microextraction technology; c, carrying out gas chromatography-mass spectrometer (GC-MS) analysis on an extracting matter; and d, carrying out comparison of a national Institute of standards and Technology (NIST) database to obtain volatile metabolite methyl thiobutyrate.
