Abstract

An environmentally friendly treating agent for heavy-metal wastewater is disclosed. The treating agent includes, by weight, 30-60 parts of activated carbon, 10-30 parts of calcium hydroxide, 5-15 parts of alum, 10-20 parts of ferric chloride, 20-50 parts of sepiolite, 8-35 parts of natural bleaching clay, 3-10 parts of calcium aluminate and 15-30 parts of magnesium carbonate. The treating agent can form an alkaline environment, can form colloid in a water body and can effectively promote precipitation of heavy metal ions. Raw materials are simple and cheap. The production cost is low. The treating agent is suitable for large-scale industrial application and is high in practicality.
