Abstract

The invention provides a plating solution for a Co-Ni-P- diamond coating which is prepared from raw material comprising amino cobalt sulfamate, amino nickel sulfamate, boric acid, cobalt chloride, phosphorous acid, diamond micropowder and water. An electroplating method for preparing Co-Ni-P- diamond coating by the above electroplating solution is also introduced. Through formula optimization andprocess optimization, the corresponding process steps and parameters are applied to the new electroplating solution, realizing formula and process strengthening for powerful alliance. The performanceof the coating is thus improved in the two aspects of the formulation of plating solution and plating method, the result of which gives rise to a coating that can completely replace the hard chrome plating in terms of service performance. The new coating is more environmentally friendly and lower in cost. The phosphorus content (mass percentage) in the above plating layer is 6%-9%, with the hardness of the plating layer being 720 HV. The plating layer is under heat-treatment in air at 300DEG C for 2 hours and the hardness is up to 1050 HV.
