The method comprises the following steps: randomly taking current-year newly-sprouted canopy tip leaves from four directions of east, south, west and north of the middle upper part of the outer side of a tree body, and taking each plot asa mixed sample; wiping the collected leaves by using a wet towel cleaned by deionized water, removing dust and pesticide residues on the surfaces of the leaves, bagging the leaves, putting a leave baginto an electrothermal blowing drying oven for fixation, drying at constant temperature, grinding the leaves into powder by using a powder sample machine under a leaf drying condition, packaging, numbering, and storing to-be-detected leaf mineral nutrients; total nitrogen by wet ashing sodium salt colorimetric method; total phosphorus by a wet ashing molybdenum antimony anti-colorimetric method;total potassium by dry ashing flame photometry determination; total calcium and total magnesium by a dry ashing atomic absorption method; and total sulfur by a concentrated nitric acid, perchloric acid and concentrated hydrochloric acid digestion barium sulfate turbidimetry. When the measured value is higher than the standard range, the fertilizer utilization rate is improved; and when the measured value is lower than the standard range, appropriate fertilization measures should be taken.
