Theacaricide containing plant essential oil is prepared from the following components in percentage by mass: 0.02 to 0.04 percent of lemon grass essential oil, 0.04 to 0.08 percent of moutan bark essential oil, 0.01 to 0.03 percent of citronella essential oil, 0.01 to 0.03 percent of pogostemon cablin essential oil, 2 to 5 percent of propylene glycol, 2 to 5 percent of C12 amino sucrose ester, 1 to 2 percent of PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil and the balance of water.
