An image sensor pixel that includes a photoelectric conversion unit supported by a substrate and an insulator adjacent to the substrate. The pixel includes a cascaded light guide that is located within an opening of the insulator and extends above the insulator such that a portion of the cascaded light guide has an air interface. The air interface improves the internal reflection of the cascaded light guide. The cascaded light guide may include a self-aligned color filter having air-gaps between adjacent color filters. Air-gaps may be sealed from above by a transparent sealing film. The transparent sealing film may have a concave surface over the air-gap to diverge light that cross the concave surface into the air-gap away from the air-gap into adjacent color filters. These characteristics of the light guide eliminate the need for a microlens. Additionally, a portion of a support wall between a pair of color filters may have a larger width above than below to form a necking to hold down the color filters for better retention.

A device for rapidly chilling containers in a refrigerator includes a base portion, an outer body portion and a carriage. The outer body portion includes an outer shell defining a central cavity. The carriage is rotatably supported in the central cavity and spaced from the outer shell so as to define an air channel. The carriage includes a support wall that defines an article receptacle. The support wall includes a plurality of openings that open to the air channel. A fan is provided to establish a cooling airflow that is directed through the air channel into the carriage. A motor is employed to selectively rotate the carriage. A plurality of rollers, at least one of which is driven by the motor, support and drive the carriage to rotate through the cooling airflow to rapidly lower the container temperature.

The subject invention relates to a trash can that comprises a base and a liner supported by the base to receive and store trash. A body, supported by the base, houses the liner and a top comprising a support wall supported by the body and two doors rotatably supported by said top support wall, wherein each door is hinged on one side to said support wall. At least one L-shaped bracket is positioned against one top door and connected to the body via a pin. At least one lift rod with a first end operatively connected to each of the L-shaped brackets. A lift bar interfaces with a second end of each of the two lift rods. A pedal mechanically connected to the lift bar moves the lift bar in a downward motion to pull the lift rods down thereby rotating the L-shaped bracket about the pin to extend each L-shaped bracket in an upward motion to open each top door.

The present invention relates to a puncture seal for sealing a blood vessel having a puncture opening in a body of a human being or an animal. The seal comprises a pressure chamber which can be attached to the body in the area of the puncture opening and subjected to an overpressure, wherein the pressure chamber has a supporting wall in an area opposite to the body. In order to create a puncture seal, in which the pressure chamber can be reliably sealed once the hypodermic needle has been removed, a sealing element made of a material with a certain elastic return force, which is at least 1 mm thick is provided and placed in the area of the support wall to be punctured by the hypodermic needle.

A set of extruded panels is provided which can be assembled on site to create a permanent form-work for concrete. The set includes inside and outside extruded side wall panels which are arranged to be connected edge to edge to form inside and outside walls. Longitudinally spaced connecting wall panels span between the inside and outside walls at spaced positions across the width of the walls to hold the walls apart and define a hollow interior therebetween including a plurality of interconnected cells with a plurality of holes for communication of concrete and reinforcing bars between each cell and the next. A drive device for a vehicle configured between an internal combustion engine and a wheel. The drive device includes a rotary electric machine, and an engagement device connecting the drive device to the engine by a fluid coupling using hydraulic pressure. A case houses at least a portion of the drive device and includes a support wall extending radially, and a cylindrical projecting portion projecting from the support wall toward a side in an axial second direction that is in a direction opposite to the axial first direction. The engagement device includes an operating oil pressure chamber supplied with the hydraulic pressure. An improved high impact metal clubhead with a unique reinforced composite face wall, increased radius of gyration, and a positive lift air foil surface contour. The composite face wall includes an impact supporting wall rigidified by a pattern of integrally cast reinforcing bars that extend forwardly, rather than rearwardly, from the supporting wall. The reinforced supporting wall is covered by a very hard plastic ball striking insert that is cast in situ over the supporting wall. The increase in radius of gyration is accomplished by extending the heel and toe portions of the clubhead along the face wall further from the geometric center of the head, beyond present day parameters for high impact clubheads. And the positive lift is effected by contouring the top wall of the clubhead downwardly and rearwardly from the base wall more severely almost to the plane of the sole plate, and flattening the rear wall so it is almost co-planar with the sole plate. This configuration results in the top wall being equal to or greater in length than the combined length of the sole plate and rear wall in a vertical plane extending through the clubhead along the target line. The laws of continuity of matter and the air foil shape of the top wall eliminate the negative lift or drag in today's "woods" and offer the possibility of some positive lift to increase ball overspin.
