The invention relates to a multi-branched polycarboxylate
superplasticizer and a preparation method thereof and belongs to the technical field of building concrete admixtures. The preparation method of the multi-branched polycarboxylate
superplasticizer is characterized in that an AB type double block
copolymer with a multi-branched structure is obtained by adopting three steps of
atom transfer radical polymerization reaction through step-by-step
polymerization. The
superplasticizer has the characteristics of controllable
chemical structure, controllable molecular weight, narrower molecular
weight distribution and simple process. The superplasticizer is high in water-reducing rate, good in
slump retaining property and low in sensitivity to mud; the flowability of concrete can be remarkably improved;
dextrin is used as a main
raw material, and the superplasticizer is low in cost,
pollution-free and renewable; the
dextrin is used for synthesizing the superplasticizer, so that the cost is remarkably reduced, and the
pollution is avoided. Compared with a traditional comb-shaped polycarboxylate
water reducer, the multi-branched polycarboxylate superplasticizer disclosed by the invention has the advantages that the problems that the polycarboxylate
water reducer is more sensitive to the mud in the concrete and the performance of the polycarboxylate
water reducer is reduced due to the existence of the mud can be solved to a certain degree; the polycarboxylate superplasticizer is particularly suitable for concrete with higher mud content.
