Abstract

The invention discloses a preparation method of hydrophobic modified cation polyacrylamide flocculating agent including following steps: acrylamide, dimethyl diallyl ammonium chloride, butyl acrylate and surface-active agent are mixed after being weighed. Polymerized monomer water solution is obtained after the above mixture is stirred to be uniform with the addition of deionized water. All kinds of additives are then added in the polymerized monomer water solution; a compound initiator and then a photoinitiator are added for polymerization; after the polymerization reaction, colloidal particles are extracted for granulation, drying, crushing and sieving. The hydrophobic modified cation polyacrylamide is then obtained in the end. The flocculating agent prepared in the invention can improve the adsorption capacity of polymers to suspended particles especially organics in water through the introduction of hydrophobic groups into flocculating agent macromolecules. At the same time, the flocculating agent has a character of the hydrophobic association of high polymers which is in favor of the interaction between macromolecules, the reduction of the hydrophilic nature of flocs, the acceleration of the settling velocity of flocs and the improvement of the floccules intensity and the water separation capability of filter cakes.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of organic polymers, in particular to a method for preparing a hydrophobically modified cationic polyacrylamide flocculant. Background technique [0002] Polyacrylamide (PAM) is a general term for acrylamide (Acrylamide, AM) homopolymers or linear polymers obtained by copolymerization with other monomers, including anionic (APAM) and cationic (CPAM), liquid and gel , powder and other physical forms. Polyacrylamide is a linear water-soluble polymer. It is one of the most widely used varieties of water-soluble polymers. It has a wide range of applications in industries such as building materials and agriculture, and is known as "all-industry additives" and "universal products". Polyacrylamide is a fine chemical product and also belongs to the category of new materials. Among them, ultra-high molecular weight polyacrylamide is one of the eight major fine chemical products prioritized by the country, and it is also one...
