A method of preparing a polyferric-aluminum-chloride water purifier is disclosed. Raw materials include sintered pyrite slag, diatomite, hydrochloric acid, ferric chloride and/or aluminium chloride. The method includes steps of crushing the sintered pyrite slag and the diatomite until the particle size is 200-400 meshes, adding into a reaction kettle, mixing with the hydrochloric acid to obtain a leaching liquid, detecting aluminum and iron contents of the leaching liquid, adding proper amounts of the ferric chloride and/or the aluminium chloride according to the aluminum and iron contents to regulate the ratio of the aluminum and iron contents, subjecting the leaching liquid to evaporation and concentration, drying, adding a certain amount of water again, allowing the mixture to stand, and grinding to obtain the water purifier. The method achieves effective utilization of the sintered pyrite slag, turns waste into things of value, and overcomes the problem that the sintered pyrite slag is difficult to treat. The water purifier combines advantages of polyaluminium chloride and advantages of the ferric chloride, and is good in water purification effects and wide in effective pH value range.
