Abstract

The MoS2-PMMA nanocomposite is prepared by the aid of ultrasonic dispersion and solution thermal casting technologies withnano MoS2 prepared with liquid phase solvothermal synthesis and surface modification technologies as an antifriction agent and PMMA with poor wear resistance as a polymer matrix. MoS2 nanoparticles are introduced into the polymer matrix PMMA, the decrease amplitude of the friction coefficient of PMMA reaches 50% or above, and the decrease amplitude increases with increase of the addition amount ofMoS2. MoS2 subjected to surface modification with CTAB (cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide) has the best antifriction effect on PMMA, and the friction coefficient of PMMA can be decreased by 73% after5% by mass of MoS2 is added.
