The present application relates to a metallographic sample
grinding and
polishing auxiliary holding device, belonging to the field of metallographic analysis. The device comprises a transparent observation plastic sheet, a hand-held sleeve, a clamping device, an auxiliary clamping sleeve, a clamping seat, steel balls and a top column. The spherical groove is opened on the outer top of the hand-held sleeve, and the transparent observation plastic sheet is adhered to the hand-held sleeve. The steel balls are built-in, and the position of the steel balls in the spherical groove can be observed to assist the leveling process in the manual coarse
grinding process. The clamping seat is provided with cylindrical recesses of different sizes, which can be used for assisting the sample clamping process in the coarse
grinding process. The top column is cylindrical, which is used to prevent the sample from sliding tangentially in the manual coarse
grinding process. Compared with the traditional additive inlaying process, the device solves the problem of difficulty in separating the sample from the inlaying material after grinding and
polishing, and also solves the problem of no auxiliary leveling in manual coarse grinding. The present application can be used for manual coarse grinding,
machine fine grinding and
polishing processes at the same time, can effectively replace the inlaying step of the sample, is more convenient to hold and disassemble, and reduces the probability of inclination of the grinding and polishing surface after grinding and polishing.
