The invention provides traditional Chinese medicine for treating young animals suffering from viral diarrhea. The traditional Chinese medicine comprises, by weight, 5-33 parts of cyrtomium rhizome, 2-30 parts of schisandra chinensis, 3-20 parts of pomegranate rind, 38.5-85.13 parts of flavoring agents and 4.87-34.2 parts of disintegrants. The flavoring agents comprise 4-80 parts of mannitol, 5-30 parts of cane sugar, 0.05-3 parts of potassium chloride, 0.05-0.5 part of sodium glutamate, 0.02-0.5 part of trisodium glycyrrhizinate and 0.01-0.5 part of fresh milk essence; the disintegrants comprise 3.5-26 parts of microcrystalline celluloses, 1.25-5 parts of low-substituted hydroxypropyl celluloses, 0.1-2.5 parts of magnesium stearate and 0.02-1 part of sodium dodecyl sulfate. The invention further discloses a method for manufacturing the traditional Chinese medicine. The method includes decocting the cyrtomium rhizome and the schisandra chinensis in water to obtain filter liquid, adding powder of the pomegranate rind into the filter liquid to obtain soft materials, adding the magnesium stearate into the soft materials, uniformly mixing the magnesium stearate and soft materials with one another to obtain mixtures, granulating the mixtures to obtain grains and drying the grains; adding the mannitol, the microcrystalline celluloses, the low-substituted hydroxypropyl celluloses, the sodium dodecyl sulfate, the magnesium stearate, the trisodium glycyrrhizinate and the fresh milk essence into the grains and uniformly mixing the mannitol, the microcrystalline celluloses, the low-substituted hydroxypropyl celluloses, the sodium dodecyl sulfate, the magnesium stearate, the trisodium glycyrrhizinate and the fresh milk essence with the grains. The invention further discloses application of the traditional Chinese medicine to treating the young animals suffering from viral diarrhea. The traditional Chinese medicine, the method and the application have the advantages of zero irritability and excellent curative effect.
