There is disclosed an apparatus for mounting antennas on a utility pole. The apparatus comprises a group of brackets that encircle the utility pole and support the antennas. Each bracket comprises at least one support arm capable of attaching to an antenna and a faceplate that presses against the surface of the utility pole. The apparatus also includes tightening or closure means, such as nut and bolt assemblies, that connect the brackets together. When tightened, the tightening means draw the brackets encircling the utility pole closer together, thereby pressing the faceplates of each bracket more firmly against the utility pole. This clamps the apparatus tightly in place at selected points on the utility pole.

A vane assembly 10 suitable for a turbine engine features a refractory vane 12 with an internal cavity 20 and a pair of flexible metallic baffles 26 extending into the cavity from spanwisely opposite ends of the vane. A rigid fastener 48, such as a nut and bolt assembly applies a tensile load to the baffles. The tensile load is reacted out as a compressive load applied to the vane. In another embodiment, the baffle is relatively rigid but the fastener is flexible. The compressive loading exerted on the vane counteracts the brittleness customarily exhibited by refractory materials and imparts damage tolerance to the vane. A strike plate assembly for mounting on a door frame is disclosed. The door frame forms a clearance hole for receiving the strike plate assembly. A mounting plate is affixed to the door frame in the clearance hole. The mounting plate forms an opening for receiving a bolt from a door knob or lock, such as a dead bolt lock, and forms two substantially parallel slots. A strike plate is affixed to the mounting plate. The strike plate also forms an opening for receiving a bolt from a door knob or lock and forms two substantially parallel slots which are at right angles to the two substantially parallel slots of the mounting plate. Each of the parallel slots of strike plate crosses over a corresponding one of the parallel slots of the mounting plate when the strike plate is properly affixed to the mounting plate. A pair of nuts and bolts affix the strike plate to the mounting plate. One bolt fits through each of the parallel slots of the strike plate and the corresponding parallel slot of the mounting plate. The pair of nuts secure the pair of bolts such that the position of the bolts can be adjusted in the parallel slots of the mounting plate and in the parallel slots of the strike plate, allowing the strike plate to be adjusted both vertically and horizontally with respect to the mounting plate. The opening formed by the strike plate substantially overlaps the opening formed by the mounting plate, although the opening formed by the mounting plate would normally be substantially larger than the opening formed by the strike plate.

A boiler wall tube tool for clamping together for welding adjacent ends of boiler wall tube segments in a boiler wall having narrowly spaced apart tubes. The tool includes a base with a tube engaging recess, and a pair of clamp members that attach to the base. The base has cutouts and notches to facilitate a welder's observation of the welding process. Each of the pipe clamp members includes a parallel pair of guides that are insertable between adjacent tubes of a boiler wall and are attachable by nuts and bolts to opposite sides of the base. A header that joins the guides has a threaded bore. A saddle block mounted for sliding movement between the guides is attached by a swivel nut to a clamp screw that is mounted within the threaded bore. Each saddle block is recessed for engaging an exterior surface of one of two aligned tube segments. The tool clamps aligned segments together by rotation of the clamp screws in a first direction; rotation of the screws in an opposite direction permits detaching the tool from the pipe segments. A telescopic extension device for a handle of a wrench includes three sliding overlapping concentric tubular members. A mechanism is for retaining the three tubular members in an extended position. A wrench compatible for use in limited access areas is made up of two components. A socket with fluted interior walls cooperates with a handle assembly consisting of a head with complementary fluting on its exterior surface attached to one end of a shaft. The head is inserted into the top of the socket and the shaft is rotated as far as the available space permits. Efficient, convenient and accurate mourning is realized, and examination, dismounting and replacement are convenient. A locked nut and bolt assembly for bolting a plurality of members one to another in tight abutment, the assembly having: a bolt having a head and a threaded body portion; a complementarily-threaded nut having a nut outside diameter received in locked engagement on the bolt; the plurality of members retained on the bolt between the head and the nut; a casing having—a first terminal portion defining an inwardly protruding retained portion defining a first aperture embracing the bolt body portion and the retained portion in abutment with and retained by the tightened nut; a second terminal portion defining an inwardly protruding covering portion defining a second aperture embracing the bolt body portion and the covering portion in covering close proximity to the nut as to prevent access to the nut by nut engaging and turning means to effect loosening thereof; and a body between the first and the second terminal portions and surrounding the nut in close proximity thereto as to define therebetween a receiving recess for the nut engaging and turning means. A thread-producing nut for a screwed connection, wherein a core hole which is provided with thread turns is designed for positively locking, frictionally locking and releasable connection to an, in particular, cylindrical bolt or pin, in such a way that the thread turns have completely formed thread turns in certain sections when viewed in the circumferential direction and that free spaces with thread turns which are formed incompletely in terms of their height are provided between the completely formed sections of the thread turns. A catheter apparatus for percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) capable of accurately positioning the balloon and stent in a desired position includes an introducer set fixed to an opening of the human artery, a guiding catheter secured to the introducer set and introduced into the artery, a Y-connector coupled with the guiding catheter, a guidewire introduced into the guiding catheter, a balloon catheter introduced into the guiding catheter and having a balloon at the distal end thereof, a minute adjustment portion having a nut and a bolt for minutely adjusting the insertion portion of the balloon catheter in the artery, a combining frame having two legs eachcoupled with the main tube and the nut, respectively, and a clamping portion for holding the balloon catheter firmly in position. The catheter apparatus provided by the present invention helps the physician to place the balloon and stent more accurately in the desired position of the artery so that the PCI operation becomes more accurate, easier and safer.

An apparatus for hydrostatic testing of openings in items surrounded by a flange, such as flanged pipe sections, flanged pipelines, flanged hose assemblies, as well as other flanged equipment requiring periodic pressure testing. The apparatus is clamp like device that easily can be clamped onto a flange of a flanged item to be tested, without the need for conventional nuts and bolts. The instant apparatus is more efficient and safer than conventional apparatus used for hydrostatic testing.
