Biofeedback enabled oral therapy device

Devices, methods, software, and kits are provided for performing oral therapy with biofeedback to provide real-time data for clinicians to aid in designing a customized therapy plan and track patient compliance with a prescribed therapy regimen. The device provides mouthpieces, which are capable of providing both passive and active range of motion for the jaw. Inclusion of a distance sensor on the device allows measurement of mandible range of motion or maximal interincisal opening. The force, applied to the upper jaw and lower jaw during oral therapy, can be controlled by inserting springs into the device, which have different spring constants. The force on the jaw can further be adjusted by using spring offset inserts. In addition, the maximum range of motion for the jaw can be set using interchangeable top limit brackets or a top limit bracket comprising an adjustable range of motion limiter.

Oral care device

PendingUS20260192127A1Light therapyOral treatment
Embodiments of the present invention provide a multifunctional oral care device comprising a lip care assembly and a tooth care assembly that can be detachably connected or used independently. The assemblies include light therapy components configured to emit specific wavelengths for lip and oral treatment. The device further includes an orientation detection module for mode switching, dual or synchronized control units with detachable power supplies, and optional intermediate layers for irradiating inner lip surfaces. A nasal care phototherapy device can also be connected through an auxiliary interface for combined facial or oral therapy.

Permeability enhanced oral therapy delivery system, and method of manufacture

An improved oral therapy delivery system with enhanced permeability, and an innovative method of manufacture. The therapy delivery system is comprised of a ternary, oil in water emulsion containing three (3) phases; a first aqueous phase that is hydrophilic, a second oil phase that is lipophilic, and a third activation or permeability enhancement phase. This three-phase construction allows delivery of both water soluble and oil soluble compounds, with increased activation of either or both. The third activation phase, in some embodiments, is comprised of 4 cellularly vital compounds capable of triggering active transport of material adjacent to cellular surfaces. These 4 compounds are vital for cellular functioning as incentives to trigger active transport of medicinal material.

Combination nasal and oral therapy for weight loss

A combination therapy including both intranasal and oral solid-form preparations is described. In combination, the intranasal and oral delivery pathways provided an enhancement in appetite suppression and associated weight loss in comparison to either intranasal or oral solid-form therapy alone. It was unexpected that the observed substantial increase and increase in rate of weight loss would be observed for the combination therapy, which on average provided a nearly 12% reduction in total body weight over the three-month trial.
