85 results about "Tire-pressure gauge" patented technology

A tire-pressure gauge, or tyre-pressure gauge, is a pressure gauge used to measure the pressure of tires on a vehicle. Since tires are rated for specific loads at certain pressure, it is important to keep the pressure of the tire at the optimal amount. Tires are rated for their optimal pressure when cold, meaning before the tire has been driven on for the day and allowed to heat up, which ultimately changes the internal pressure of the tire due to the expansion of gases. The precision of a typical mechanical gauge as shown is ±3 psi (21 kPa). Higher precision gauges with ±1 psi (6.9 kPa) uncertainty can also be obtained.

Circumferentially disposed automatic whistling tire pressure gauge warning and limiting assembly

An audibly reporting and contemporaneous pressure-relief, automatic tire assembly is disclosed for use in interaction with preexisting valve core stems on a tire of other vessel or with conventional tire rim inflation holes. The assembly of the invention has a channeled valve body having a moving inside pin, and communication from within its channel to a sound board emission port having check-reed position groove at its other end. A pressure-sensitive arc-like mechanism is provided, fabricated to provide an inwardly closing force equivalent to a preselected pressure limit desired for a respective tire or air/fluid-pressured container. This mechanism is mounted in relation to the valve body and supported by a hollow and ported collar so that it seats and exerts closing force against an exposed portion of the check-reed which sits and can move within its position groove. When air or fluid pressure is provided to the valve body, in installed position, the back pressure from this exerts a corresponding force on the check-reed. When this back-pressure force, representing pressure in the tire/container exceeds the force exerted by the pressure-sensitive mechanism leaning on the check-reed, the check-reed moves within its groove allowing excess pressure above the limit to escape, and contemporaneously reporting an audible whistling sound generated by the sound board conditions created by escaping air in adjoining spaces of the check-reed, check-reed groove, and ported support collar in relation to the valve body.

Auto emergency tool

An ergonomic auto emergency tool for alternatively functioning as a flashlight, an illuminating distress signal, a sonic alarm, a tire depth gauge, a tire air pressure gauge, a seat belt cutter and a motor vehicle window glass breaker. The auto emergency tool includes a main portion and a projecting portion extending from a joining portion and being integral with the main portion, and defining a seat belt-receiving notch therebetween. A knife blade extends across the notch proximate the joining portion. An inner main portion-facing upper surface of the projecting portion is configured to facilitate the movement of the tool towards and through a seat belt, and the bottom outer surface of the projecting portion is curved for both easy handling and for enabling a firm grip when the tool is used to break window glass. The window-breaking mechanism includes a depressible plunger cover for releasing a spring-loaded impact member. A projecting portion and a main housing portion cooperate to define a seat belt receptacle. A blade cover is insertable into the seat belt receptacle. A blade cover includes a tire tread-depth gauge. The auto emergency tool further has a tire pressure gauge with a digital display. An optional visor clip is also provided for storing the tool on the visor of a motor vehicle. The visor clip has an alternate blade cover for attaching the tool to the visor.

Method and system for monitoring automobile load based on intelligent tire pressure gauge

The invention relates to a method and system for monitoring an automobile load based on an intelligent tire pressure gauge. The method comprises the following steps: acquiring the temperature data of the gas in a tire sensed by a temperature sensor and the pressure data of the gas in the tire sensed by a pressure sensor; acquiring the exradius of a tire inner tube, the inradius of the tire inner tube, the major semi-axis when the tire is pressed, and the minor semi-axis when the tire is pressed; acquiring the initial tire pressure data of the tire and the temperature data of the gas in the tire; acquiring the changes in the volume of the tire before and after the tire is pressed; obtaining the load data of the tire according to the changes in the gas temperature before and after the tire is pressed, a Clapeyron equation and the acquired parameters; and monitoring the automobile load through the automobile load data. According to the method and the system for monitoring the automobile load based on the intelligent tire pressure gauge disclosed by the invention, a self-load measuring system is adopted to perform weighing, and has both the accuracy of static weighing and the real-time performance of dynamic weighing. On the premise of guaranteeing high accuracy, real-time load measurement is performed through the automobile sensor and some fixed parameters of the automobile, and overload or eccentric load of an automobile can be judged at any moment.
