Device And Method For Neuromodulation Treatment

The present disclosure provides a device and a method for neuromodulation treatment. The neuromodulation device comprises a pulse generator to generate electrical pulses and at least one active electrode coupled to the pulse generator. The at least one active electrode has an electrically conductive surface configured to be attached to a leg of a patient. The at least one active electrode stimulates via the electrically conductive surface a nerve of the leg of the patient by the electrical pulses generated by the pulse generator. A control unit controls the pulse generator and sets at least one parameter of the generated electrical pulses. A response detector detects a response of the patient to the nerve stimulation and provides feedback on the detected response to the control unit. For the treatment the control unit determines a treatment setting by varying an initial setting of the at least one parameter of the generated electrical pulses until the detected response of the patient to the nerve stimulation is within a predetermined range.

System and method for predicting settings for treatment of tissue and tissue response

: A system for predicting tissue treatment settings and response of tissue is described. When executed by the processor, instructions cause the processor to: (a) receive measured nitric oxide (NO) tissue data from a personal healthcare device; (b) apply a trained computational model to predict an NO response, and based on the predicted NO response, predict tissue treatment settings; (c) compare the predicted treatment settings to a safety limit; (d) when the comparison of the predicted treatment settings is equal to or below the safety limit, update the predicted treatment settings and carrying out the tissue treatment at the predicted treatment settings; and (e) when the comparison of the prediction is greater than the safety limit, adjust the tissue treatment settings, update weights of the trained computational model, and repeat (c) through (e). A method and a tangible, non-transitory computer readable medium to make the predictions are also disclosed.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) calibrations based on in-chamber brainwave metrics

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) settings of gas mixture and pressure are established based on electroencephalography (EEG) readings from a human within a hyperbaric chamber. Specifically, brainwave readings are affected by the HBOT process, which are used to improve the medical benefits achieved through the HBOT therapy regime, especially for treatments of cognitive disorders and neurological conditions detectable via EEG. In embodiments, HBOT settings are altered until a treated human is placed in a healing state, where cognition is enhanced. This healing state is quantitively definable through analysis of Alpha, Beta, Delta, and Theta EEG readings taken while in chamber and while outside the chamber. Once settings are determined to achieve a healing state of positive cognition, HBOT sessions can be conducted at pressure and gas mixture settings to ensure the healing state is achieved for each session. Post treatment analysis can be performed to determine EEG quantifiable improvements achieved.

Aerosol containment enclosure

An aerosol containment enclosure is used to isolate an air mass immediately surrounding a patient known or suspected to have a disease which may be transmitted through the air. The enclosure cooperates with a patient support apparatus (PSA). In embodiments, a flexible rod supports a substantially aerosol impermeable covering and is connected to the PSA. The enclosure may be semi-rigid and collapsible to a predetermined collapsed shape. The enclosure may be rapidly erected around a patient in an ambulance or other treatment setting. Embodiments of couplers provide compatibility with a wide diversity of sized and shaped PSAs. One coupler is connectable to the PSA with a coupler end exposed along a frame and upwardly extensible toward a PSA surface. A connector extends from the flexible rod and engages with the coupler end. The coupler may be longitudinally or laterally adjustable along the PSA.
