The invention relates to a method for testing fabric edge
curling performance, which comprises the following steps of 1 fetching 40-cm fabric with universal width to serve as a fabric sample, obtaining two sample blocks with dimension of 30cm X 30cm from the fabric sample to serve as test samples, and horizontally placing the test samples under the environment condition with the temperature of 20+ / -2 DEG C and the
humidity of 65+ / -3% for balancing for two hours; 2 spraying reagents on the surfaces of the test samples through a watering can, and recording time after spray is finished; 3 after
reagent spray, enabling the test samples to achieve balance under the environment condition with the temperature of 20+ / -2 DEG C and the
humidity of 65+ / -3%, moving the balanced test samples to a natural condition with poor light, observing appearance changes of the test samples respectively at the time one hour after the
reagent spray and at the time twenty-four hours after the
reagent spray, and grading appearance of a fabric edge of each
test sample; and 4 folding the rated test samples after twenty-four hours after the reagent spray along the radial direction into two parts, ironing the test samples through an iron, placing ironed test samples under the condition with standard temperature and
humidity for balancing for twenty-four hours, and then grading the appearance of each
test sample. By means of the method, corresponding edge
curling grades can be determined.
