Redundancy elimination in a content-adaptive video preview system

InactiveUS20050200762A1Reducing visual redundancyEfficiently contentTelevision system detailsDrawing from basic elementsAdaptive videoSelf adaptive
A content-adaptive video preview system (100) allows to go faster through a video than existing video skimming techniques. Thereby, a user can interactively adapt (S1) the speed of browsing and/or the abstraction level of presentation.
According to one embodiment of the invention, this adaptation procedure (S1) is realized by the following steps: First, differences between precalculated spatial color histograms associated with chronologically subsequent pairs of video frames said video file is composed of are calculated (S1a). Then, these differences and/or a cumulative difference value representing the sum of these differences are compared (S1b) to a predefined redundancy threshold (S(t)). In case differences in the color histograms of particular video frames (302a-c) and/or said cumulative difference value exceed this redundancy threshold (S(t)), these video frames are selected (S1c) for the preview. Intermediate video frames (304a-d) are removed and/or inserted (S1d) between each pair of selected chronologically subsequent video frames depending on the selected abstraction level of presentation. Thereby, said redundancy threshold value (S(t)) can be adapted (S1b′) for changing the speed of browsing and/or the abstraction level of presentation.

Message-driven multi-type file preview system

The invention discloses a message-driven multi-type file preview system. The message-driven multi-type file preview system comprises a trigger assembly, a message queue, a Linux cluster, a Windows cluster and a preview presentation assembly, wherein the trigger assembly is used for converting request information into a preview request message when being triggered by preview request information of a source file of a user and transmitting the preview request message to the message queue; the message queue is used for saving the received preview request information persistently; the Linux cluster is used for monitoring a preview request message of the message queue, and converting a source file of the preview request message into a preview file; the Windows cluster is used for converting an Office document into a PDF type preview file when being triggered by a preview request message of the Linux cluster; and the preview presentation assembly is used for receiving a corresponding preview file for presentation when being triggered by the Linux cluster. The message-driven multi-type file preview system can be applied to various terminals such as computers, mobile phones and tablet computers, and installation of various types of huge professional software is avoided, so that files of various formats can be previewed through the system, and great convenience is brought to the user.

Display terminal and interface window display method

Disclosed are a display terminal and an interface window display method. The display terminal comprises a thumbnail generating unit, a display unit and an instruction control unit. The interface window display method includes the following steps of acquiring thumbnails of at least two interface windows; displaying the thumbnails of the at least two interface windows in an overlapping mode; receiving a display instruction, and achieving page turning display of the thumbnails of the at least two interface windows according to the display instruction, wherein the display instruction is a gesture displacement input into the display terminal by a user. The method further includes a step of judging whether a coordinate moving direction of the displacement is in a first direction range or a second direction range; the method further includes a step of judging whether the speed of the displacement is in a first speed range or a second speed range when the displacement is in the first direction range; the method includes achieving page turning display of a first thumbnail if the speed of the displacement is in the first speed range; the method includes achieving page turning display of the thumbnails of the at least interface windows if the speed of the displacement is in the second speed range.

The invention discloses a low-noise real-time global illumination drawing method for a three-dimensional geometric scene. The low-noise real-time global illumination drawing method comprises the steps of: initializing drawing of a current frame image by a main node, including, drawing view-port segmentation, model differential transmission and drawing background chartlet, and distributing segmented view-port parameters, a three-dimensional model and a background chartlet to each sub-node; carrying out multi-scale view-port layered drawing for the received three-dimensional model and video-port parameters, and transmitting each layer of drawn images to the main node by the sub-node; synchronizing the image of the current frame drawn by each sub-node and displaying the images in the same layer in a splicing manner by the main node; counting the number of frames drawn by each sub-node every second and drawing the image of the next frame by the main node. As the global illumination way is adopted to draw a complex three-dimensional geometric scene, the low-noise real-time global illumination drawing method for the three-dimensional geometric scene can provide roaming and rapid browsing of fixed scenes and dynamic movable scenes for a user, and can reduce noise points in the drawing process, improve drawing quality and lower modeling cost of the three-dimensional scene.
