Abstract

The invention relates to a method for preparing cobalt-free black ceramic pigment by using copper ore tailings and a product manufactured by using the same. The method adopts the following industrial chemical raw materials and industrial waste slag copper tailings in percentage by weight: 10-20 percent of copper tailings, 25-35 percent of iron oxide, 26.9-30 percent of chromic oxide, 7-10 percent of nickel oxide and 15-25 percent of copper oxide. The product is obtained by mixing, calcining, pulverizing, washing, drying, pulverizing and drying, wherein the calcining temperature is 1,180-1,250 DEG C, and the temperature is kept for 60 minutes. Spinel particles which are CuCr2O4, Fe3O4 and Cr2NiO4 formed by solid phase reaction and black iron-nickel olivine sosoloid completely absorb visible light in the wavelength range of 380-780nm, thereby obtaining the black ceramic pigment product with stable color and pure chroma. The product can be widely applied to decorate various daily and architectural ceramics and is significant for the resource utilization of copper tailing waste slag materials.
