The invention discloses a novel fabric flame retardant which comprises the following components in parts by weight: 40-50 parts of sodium silicate, 1-3 parts of formaldehyde, 10-20 parts of talcum powders, 5-8 parts of polyethylene glycol, 1-3 parts of sodium hydroxide, 15-30 parts of trisodium phosphate, 20-30 parts of lithopone, 5-8 parts of methylol melamine and 120-180 parts of water. The novel fabric flame retardant has easily obtained raw materials, has a simple preparation process, has better fireproof flame retardant effect on textiles such as clothes, carpets, curtains and the like and also has the effects of mould prevention, insect prevention and corrosion prevention.
