The manufacturing process of a shell comprises the following steps: (1) providing a plastic and carrying out injection moulding to form a plastic workpiece of the shell; (2) forming a conductive layer on the surface of the shaped plastic workpiece; (3) soaking the plastic workpiece in a copper plating solution to perform electroplating to form a copper-plated layer on the conductive layer; (4) soaking the plastic workpiece in a nickel plating solution to perform electroplating to form a nickel-plated layer on the copper-plated layer; (5) soaking the plastic workpiece in a metal or alloy plating solution to perform electroplating to form a metal-plated layer or alloy-plated layer on the nickel-plated layer; and (6) spraying inorganic coating or organic coating onto the electroplated plastic workpiece to form an inorganic coating layer or an organic coating layer. The manufacturing process increases shell performances such as rigidity and strength, decreases cost, improves production efficiency and realizes environment protection.
