The method comprises: firstly analyzing an optical catalytic mechanism of TiO2 and then determining the preparation method; then selecting iron ions as a modifier, preparing nano TiO2 by using a sol-gel method; by taking butyl titanate as a precursor and ferric nitrate nonahydrate as a ferric ion doping source, stirring the mixture by virtue of a constant temperature magnetic stirrer to prepare a light yellow sol; drying the aged sol in an electric heating constant temperature air dry oven to prepare a dried gel; and finally, calcining the dried gel in a muffle furnace to prepare ferric ion-doped modified TiO2.
