A modified brewer's grain inhibitor for blue-green algae is disclosed. The inhibitor is prepared through 30-40 parts by weight of brewer's grain, 10-20 parts by weight of wollastonite powder, 1-2 parts by weight of magnesium hydroxide, 5-10 parts by weight of bentonite, 3-5 parts by weight of acrylic acid, 0.05-0.1 part by weight of ammonium persulfate, 0.1-0.2 part by weight of sodium dodecyl sulfate, 0.5-1 part by weight of aluminium chloride, 1-2 parts by weight of acrylamide, 0.01-0.02 part by weight of N,N'-methylenebisacrylamide and 10-15 parts by weight of a composite auxiliary agent. The inhibitor is capable of rapidly and efficiently removing blue-green algae and toxins thereof, and effectively decomposing the settled blue-green algae and the toxins thereof, thus achieving objectives of purifying water and improving quality of bottom mud. The inhibitor is capable of inhibiting growth of the blue-green algae and preventing subsequent blue-green algae outbreak, thus achieving an objective of comprehensively and continuously controlling the blue-green algae.
