By using water, oxygen, SO2 and heat in flue gas, sulfuric acid in certain concentration is produced. The key of the technology is the catalyst being different from conventional desulfurization active coke and active carbon, the catalyst is a desulfurizer prepared by supporting a certain active component on a carbon material being a supporter, so that the desulfurizer has catalytic effect on the SO2 oxidization to produce acid process. The desulfurizer has adsorption function and certain storage capacity of the sulfuric acid; what is more, the desulfurizer has the catalytic effect so as to make the desulfurization process to become a sulfuric acid production process. The novel catalyst is easy to regenerate without heating and consumption of large quantity of fuel. The catalyst can be regenerated just through water washing.
