Abstract

The hydrophobic coating takes amino silicone oil modified waterborne epoxyresin as a base material, and hydrophobic coatings with different hydrophobicity are prepared by simply adjusting the addition amount of fluorinated SiO2 nano powder. The preparation method comprisesfollowing three steps: 1) modifying pretreated nano SiO2 by using 1H,1H,2H,2H-perfluorooctyltriethoxysilane (FAS) to obtain fluorinated nano SiO2, 2) modifying waterborne epoxy resin by using amino silicone oil, and 3), compounding the fluorinated nano SiO2 with the modified waterborne epoxy resin to prepare the hydrophobic coating. According to the preparation method, a bifunctional silane coupling agent is used for modifying the nano SiO2, so that the treated base material has extremely low surface energy and extremely poor wettability.
