Described herein is a device for glaucoma treatment and monitoring that comprises a combination of an intraocular pressure (IOP) sensor and a glaucoma drainage device. The device comprises an IOP sensor and an inductive antenna mounted within a porous biocompatible material that forms the drainage path. The IOP sensor is mounted in a footplate portion of the device and is mountable in the anterior chamber of an eye. The footplate portion is connected to a body portion that houses the spiral antenna by a neck portion which retains the footplate portion in a suitable position within the anterior chamber. Due to its size, the footplate portion housing the IOP sensor can readily be inserted into the anterior chamber with the body portion housing the spiral antenna located outside of the anterior chamber in a sub-scleral space to disperse the aqueous humour.

Glaucoma drainage device

The invention relates to a glaucoma drainage device, which consists of a drainage pipe (a pipe for short) and a drainage sheet (a membrane sheet for short), wherein the pipe and the membrane sheet can be simultaneously or singly used, the pipe has the length of 0-15mm, the inner diameter of 1-1500[mu]m, and the outer diameter of 3-3000[mu]m, the membrane sheet has the thickness of 0-3mm, and the area of 0-500mm<2>, the aqueous water can smoothly flow in the inner side surface of the membrane sheet, the inner side surface of the membrane sheet is provided with 0-N dot-shaped or line-shaped grooves, and the depth and the width of each groove are respectively 0-5mm; the drainage sheet is in a shape of semicircle, ellipse, sector and triangle. As the equipment adopts the material, such as silica rubber, the easiness in direct pricking into the anterior chamber of eyes is avoided, a metal chip is assisted by the applicable shape of the silica rubber, and the metal chip is provided with a handle to assist the soft material (such as silica rubber) in pricking into the anterior chamber of eyes. The glaucoma drainage device has the advantages that the material of equipment adopts medical silica rubber, hydrogel or other metallic human body implantable materials; the size of equipment is small, the appearance design conforms to the anatomy principle of human eyes, and the device is suitable for being arranged in any position of conjunctival sac for a long time.

Glaucoma drainage device

The invention provides a glaucoma drainage device which is used for draining aqueous humor to tissues or lymphatic vessels. The device comprises: a drainage disc which is provided with an upper surface and a lower surface, wherein the upper surface is provided with a plurality of drainage grooves which are uniformly dispersed in a spoke shape, and a drainage tube groove is arranged between the upper surface and the lower surface; a drainage tube which penetrates through the drainage tube groove and is used for inflow of aqueous humor; and a liquid storage chamber which is vertically arranged at the central position of the drainage disc, is connected to the drainage tube which penetrates through the drainage tube groove, is further communicated with the multiple drainage grooves and is usedfor containing the aqueous humor guided to the liquid storage chamber through the drainage tube groove by means of the drainage tube, wherein the aqueous humor in the liquid storage chamber flows into the multiple drainage grooves after overflowing, and a covering layer is arranged above the liquid storage cavity and used for covering the liquid storage cavity and the communication positions of the drainage grooves and the liquid storage cavity. The problems that drainage devices are uneven in outflow and prone to being blocked are solved.
