The invention relates to a sutureless amniotic membrane fixing device applied in
ocular surface amniotic membrane covering
surgery, in particular to an
ocular surface amniotic membrane coverer. The fixing device is in the shape of a
fish mouth and is provided with an opening on the outer side, the general profile of the
fish mouth is streamline according to forms of an
ocular surface and a
conjunctival sac, the opening is positioned at an outer
canthus, and the fixing device has good supporting performance, can guarantee an amniotic membrane after being clamped by the device to be closely adhered on the ocular surface, and is high in adhesiveness. When the sutureless amniotic membrane fixing device is in use, the amniotic membrane reverses from the bottom of the fixing device to wrap the device, and is fixed in a groove on the surface of the device by means of shackling, and the bottom of the fixing device is completely wrapped in the amniotic membrane, so that friction damage to the ocular surface is reduced, and
foreign body sensation is small. After the amniotic membrane is fixed in the device, an operator holds and gently squeeze an upper arm and a lower arm of the
fish mouth to enable upper and lower diameters of the fish mouth to be reduced, simultaneously uses another hand to prop open upper and lower eyelids of a patient, disposes the upper arm and the lower arm of the device into upper and lower fornices and releases the arms, so that the device is positioned on the ocular surface after being propped open, thereby being less prone to shedding. The opening of the fixing device is positioned on a temporal side, so that
effusion below the amniotic membrane is avoided, and the fixing device is least prone to shedding. By the sutureless amniotic membrane fixing device, the process of the amniotic membrane covering
surgery can be simplified, and damage to the ocular surface due to surgical suturing can be avoided; the sutureless amniotic membrane fixing device can be reused, and the surgical process is greatly simplified.
