Abstract

The invention discloses a modified gelatine powder nano composite material using sodium silicate as silicon source and a preparation method thereof. The preparation method comprises the following steps that: water, the gelatine powder, solvent, a precursor, catalyzer and organic siloxane are added into a vessel in sequence, which are dissolved in the water at the temperature of 40-80 DEG C; the pH value is regulated to 3.5-5.0 and the mixture is stirred for 2 to 10 hours; then the product is filtrated, taken out and is aged at room temperature for 2 to 10 hours and then dried in vacuum until the weight is constant. The compatibility of the gelatine powder and matrix is enhanced due to the preparation method of the invention, which ensures that the gelatine powder can be applied in different matrixes and shows relatively good comprehensive capacity. The technique is simplified and the reaction time is shortened. The modified gelatine powder nano composite material has better physical, mechanical and thermal capacities and realizes molecule level interpenetrating of the nano silicon dioxide and the gelatine powder networks.
