Abstract

The invention discloses an electromagnetic shielding waterborne paint and a preparation method thereof, which belong to the field of electromagnetic shielding paints. The paint consists of the following components in percentage by weight: 30 to 50 percent of emulsion, 10 to 30 percent of flaky metal powder, 0.5 to 2 percent of dispersant, 0.2 to 1 percent of wetting agent, 0.5 to 3 percent of leveling agent, 0.5 to 1.5 percent of antifoaming agent and 25 to 40 percent of water. The preparation method comprises the following steps of: stirring and dissolving the dispersant, the wetting agent and a part of antifoaming agent in deionized water; mixing the flaky metal powder in solution and stirring at a high speed; adding the emulsion into the mixture, stirring and mixing; and adding the leveling agent and the remaining antifoaming agent into the mixture and stirring. The paint of the invention can achieve the shielding efficiency of between 60 and 85 dB in the frequency range of between 100 kHz and 1.5 GHz; and an obtained coating has basically invariable surface resistivity after being stored in a natural state for more than 6 months and is suitable for building systems and other electromagnetic protection systems with environmental protection requirements.
