According to the preparation method provided by the invention, the resorcinol is prepared from catechol through catalytic isomerization. Compared with an existing resorcinol production process, the method for preparing the resorcinol by using isomerization of catechol has the characteristic of environmental friendliness, namely under a fixed bed reaction, through special catalyst production, the characteristics of less three-waste discharge, mild reaction conditions, high automation degree and the like in the production process are achieved.
