Abstract

The invention discloses a method for rapidly and effectively improving the drought resistance of tobacco. The method specifically comprises the following step: irrigating roots of young tobacco seedlings in a 4 to 5-leaf period by adopting BABA (Beta-Amino Butyric Acid) at a concentration of 0.2 to 10mmol / L. By pretreatment with BABA, the survival rate and the relative moisture content of tobacco under a drought stress condition can be increased, the malondialdehyde content of tobacco bodies can be reduced, proline content, soluble sugar and soluble protein content can be increased, the activity of superoxide dismutase and peroxidase can further be improved, the activity of catalase and ascorbate peroxidase can be reduced, and hydrogen peroxide content can be increased, so that an antioxidant system can be regulated by BATA to improve the drought stress resistance of tobacco. BABA is a pollution-free and environment-friendly substance, and is easy to use and popularize on a large scale, so that huge economic benefits for tobacco production are created, and in addition, the method is of great significance for the development of green agriculture.
