Abstract

The invention relates to a waterborne polyurethane emulsion, and a preparation method and an application thereof. The waterborne polyurethane emulsion includes a polyurethane resin; and the polyurethane resin is a reaction product of (a) a polyisocyanate compound containing at least two isocyanate groups in every molecule, (b) a polyester polyol, (c) a polyol containing pyridine ring structure anda sulfonic acid group or its salt and (d) a polyol containing an acidic group. The polyurethane resin of the waterborne polyurethane emulsion contains a nonionic hydrophilic segment, the sulfonic acid group and the pyridine ring structure, so the waterborne polyurethane emulsion has the advantages of excellent stability, good yellowing resistance, high bond strength and good resistance to physical shrinkage.
