102 results about "Housing First" patented technology

Housing First is a relatively recent innovation in human service programs and social policy regarding treatment of people who are homeless and is an alternative to a system of emergency shelter/transitional housing progressions. Rather than moving homeless individuals through different "levels" of housing, whereby each level moves them closer to "independent housing" (for example: from the streets to a public shelter, and from a public shelter to a transitional housing program, and from there to their own apartment in the community), Housing First moves the homeless individual or household immediately from the streets or homeless shelters into their own accommodation.

Automatic purging and easy dispensing aerosol valve system

Self-purging, low force opening, aerosol valve system with an orificed valve stem groove and gasket forming a first valve for product and propellant, or propellant, flow. A check valve element, biasing element and housing first opening form a second valve for product flow. Actuating the valve stem sequentially opens first valve and then second valve. After actuation, second valve closes before first valve, and propellant from housing second opening purges valve stem and actuator until first valve closes. No first valve closing return spring acts directly on valve stem, allowing easy opening. Gasket in stem groove and product and propellant flow fully close first valve after second valve closes. High solid and / or resin content products can be dispensed through an actuator with mechanical break-up insert.

Method and apparatus for relieving fluid build-up in the middle ear

A device and method are provided for clearing obstructions in a body cavity opening behind which a volume of fluid has been accumulated comprising a housing having a longitudinal internal conduit having an end interconnected to a suction source and a motor mechanically interconnected to a second end attachment portion and adapted to impart vibratory movement thereto. Actuation of the motor imparts vibratory movement to the second end attachment portion, and thereby to an attached tip and, when a housing first attachment portion is interconnected to a suction source, suction and vibration are simultaneously applied to the tip second end. Thus, when the tip second end is applied against an obstructed body cavity opening, the vibration acts to break up the obstruction and the suction contemporaneously acts to withdraw the accumulated fluid from the body cavity.

Integral forming method of weldless axle housing of heavy truck

ActiveCN103252404AReasonable distribution of wall thicknessIncreased strength and rigidityHousing FirstTruck
The invention discloses an integral forming method of a weldless axle housing of a heavy truck. According to the method, reversed central spindle necking is carried out on two sides of the axle housing first, then hydro-bugling is carried out on the middle of the axle housing to obtain a bulging tube blank with sizes of two sides of the axis different, and then necking is carried out on two ends of the axle housing to obtain a preformed tube blank; ends of the preformed tube blank are sealed by a left pressure head and a right pressure head of a die and liquid is filled in the axle housing on a four-way hydraulic machine, integral press-forming is carried out on the preformed tube blank from the upper side, the lower side, the front side and the back side through an upper module, a lower module, a front module and a back module to obtain an axle housing tube fitting, a hemispherical rear oil cap is arranged on the rear side of an axle package part, and the front side of the axle package part is a plane; a round hole is punched in the front side of the axle package, the rear oil cap is reshaped with a stamping die, and then an axle housing workpiece is obtained. The heavy truck axle housing manufactured with the method is weldless, high in strength and rigidity, high in shape accuracy, good in wall thickness distribution, and low in manufacturing cost. Compared with a traditional hydro-bugling technique, the method has the advantages that liquid pressure needed in a manufacturing process is reduced by more than 60% and the tonnage of forming equipment is reduced by more than 50%.

Pinch free folding lock

A folding lock assembly for use in a frame for a portable child enclosure that includes a body housing first and second hinges for connecting a pair of equal-length side frame members. The respective hinges are limited in the degree of pivotal movement permitted each between a locked position in which the frame members are linearly aligned and a folded position in which the frame members are substantially parallel. The first hinge permits angular rotation less than 90 degrees while the second hinge permits angular rotation greater than 90 degrees. The differences in the range of hinge rotation offset the distal ends of the frame when the connected members are folded to eliminate a pinch point between frame end members. A latching mechanism is provided to maintain the hinges in a locked configuration wherein one hinge is locked by the position of the second hinge. Releasing the second hinge allows the first hinge to pivot as well.
