A method for reducing distal embolization during insertion of devices to treat plaque, thrombi and other intravascular occlusions. Using a guide catheter, a guidewire is delivered to a site proximal to the lesion. An aspiration catheter is then introduced over the guidewire, and the two are moved together in a distal to proximal direction across the occlusion. The aspiration catheter is then moved in a proximal to distal direction while continuously aspirating, which prevents embolization of any particles which may be created during the crossing of the guidewire.

The invention generally relates to devices and methods that allow an operator to obtain real-time images of a luminal surface during an implant delivery procedure. In certain embodiments, a delivery device of the invention includes an elongate body and an inner member moveably disposed within the elongate body. The elongate body includes a first imaging element and defining a center lumen that leads to an opening. The elongate body is configured to releasably hold an implant within the center lumen and the first imaging element is configured to at least partially surround the center lumen such that the implant is deployable through the first imaging element. The inner member is configured to engage with and deploy the implant out of the opening of the elongate body and into a body lumen.

A generator assembly for a gas turbine engine. The assembly includes an electrical generator connected via a first sprag clutch to an accessory gearbox driven by the engine. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the lining includes a first covering layer facing the engine. A duroplastic foam layer contacts the covering layer. A soundproofing layer contacts the duroplastic foam layer. A second covering layer contacts the soundproofing layer. According to another embodiment, a method of manufacturing a heat-insulating and soundproofing lining for an engine compartment is disclosed. The method includes the steps of (1) providing a first covering layer; (2) providing a duroplastic foam layer on the first covering layer; (3) providing a soundproofing layer on the first covering layer; (4) providing a second covering layer; and (5) pressing the layers together at an increased temperature and an increased pressure.
