7 results about "Poly vinyl chloride" patented technology

Poly(vinyl chloride) Poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) is a widely used polymer. In terms of revenue generated, it is one of the most valuable products of the chemical industry. Globally, over 50% of PVC manufactured is used in construction for house siding, piping, etc. As a building material, PVC is inexpensive and easy to assemble.

Multi-layered pvc material, method of obtaining and uses thereof

The present disclosure relates to a flexible multi-layered material. An embodiment consistent with the disclosure has a plurality of poly(vinyl chloride)—PVC—layers, wherein at least one of the plurality of PVC layers is a foam layer, wherein each of the layers of the plurality of PVC layers comprises up to 60% (w / w) of a phthalate-free plasticizer, and wherein the phthalate-free plasticizer is selected from the group consisting of: phosphate, trimellitate, adipate, citrate, sebacate, polyester, vegetable oil, and mixtures thereof, and wherein the solubility of the phthalate-free plasticizer in the PVC is at least 13 (J·cm−3)1 / 2.

Method for preparing porous membranes from waste poly(vinyl chloride) plastics

The disclosure provides a method of preparing porous membranes from waste PVC plastics comprising unknown fixed quantities of plasticizer. The method includes the steps of providing a first solution comprising waste PVC particles and said plasticizer in a first aprotic solvent and a second solution comprising a porogen in a second aprotic solvent. The first and second solutions are mixed to provide a dope solution comprising solubilised waste PVC particles, said plasticizer and the porogen in the first and second aprotic solvents. The resulting dope solution is cast in a layer on a surface of a substrate to form a membrane precursor. The membrane precursor is then immersed in a non-solvent for a period of time sufficient for the membrane precursor to undergo phase inversion and produce the porous membrane.

Adhesive tape, and method for producing adhesive tape

The present invention addresses the problem of providing an adhesive tape which is unlikely to peel or become sticky during long-term use and which is suitable for use in low temperature environments. One aspect of the present invention is an adhesive tape comprising: a base material layer containing a poly(vinyl chloride) resin; and a rubber-based adhesive layer provided to at least one surface of the base material layer. The adhesive tape has a tensile breaking elongation of 50% or more when measured at -33°C using a method stipulated in JIS Z 0237: 2009. In addition, the content of a (meth)acrylic polymer in the rubber-based adhesive layer is 5-25 mass%. Furthermore, the rubber-based adhesive layer has a storage elastic modulus of 0.25-0.45 MPa at 23°C.
