The invention belongs to the technical field of wireless communication, and discloses an orthogonal space shift keying cooperative communication method in a multi-relay network, which comprises the following steps: (S1) an information source node prepares a sending bit sequence and divides the sending bit sequence into two sub-bit sequences; (S2) the information source node carries out check coding and in-phase and quadrature modulation on the two sub-bit sequences respectively, and then combines and sends the two sub-bit sequences; (S3) each relay node performs in-phase and orthogonal detection and verification on the received signal, and then performs self-service activation and marks an activation component; (S4) the activated relay node and the non-activated relay node jointly form a joint relay vector, and the joint relay vector is sent to the information sink node; and (S5) the information sink node detects signals from the information source node and the joint relay vector to obtain a bit sequence detection value of the information source node. Compared with the prior art, the method has the advantages that the number of relays can be halved under the same transmission rate, or the transmission rate can be multiplied under the same number of relays.
