The present invention also relates to processes for preparing such structuring systems and to the use of the structuring system of the present invention to control the particle size of a thread-like structuring material by mixing an anionic emulsifier with a structuring agent. The method comprises steps that: (1) biological fermentation treatment: the palm tegument is drawn into thread like or cut into pieces to be fermented in a fermentation tank for 10 to 14 days; during the fermentation period, the fermentation tank is under the oxygenic condition and the oxygen-free condition alternately by being intermittently exposed to the air, and the time interval is 20 minutes; (2) chemical soakage treatment: the fermented palm tegument is washed with water for once to twice and then the water is drained; the palm tegument is dipped in the calcium phosphate with the concentration of 40 to 60 percent according to the weight ratio of 1:2.0-2.6 for 6 to 8 hours and then carbonized and activated at 390-450 DEG C for 70-90 minutes, then washed to pH 6.5-7.0 by deionized water at 70-90 DEGC and dried or naturally dried to obtain the activated carbon fiber of palm tegument. The invention combines the biological and chemical method for preparing the activated carbon fiber of palm tegument and is fast in preparation. The activated carbon fiber of palm tegument with large absorption volume, large surface area, abundant micropores and high mechanical strength can be obtained by using the method.

An article having an appearance of at least one of wood, marble and fabric is provided by selectively removing at least one layer of an uncured powder coating from a portion of a surface of the article pre-coated with a first layer of a partially cured powder coating and at least one second layer of an uncured powder coating. The uncured powder coating is removed with at least a plurality of pre-wetted thread-like fibers having a predetermined shape to simulate a desired decorative appearance. The uncured powder coating retained by the at least a plurality of pre-wetted thread-like fibers is separated into a liquid such as water and the uncured powder coating is separated from the liquid and recovered for further use.
