The nitrogen-free non-functionalized polysiloxane material ranges in viscosity from 0.01 m²/sec to 2.0 m²/sec. The silicone blend is preferably used in a pre-formed emulsion which can be added to the balance of the detergent composition to form the droplets of the silicone blend which are dispersed in the detergent composition.

A silicone composition having a continuous phase of a polar organic liquid including particles of a silicone active material encapsulated within an organic encapsulating material which is a solid at 25° C. The silicone active material is sparingly soluble in the polar organic liquid at 25° C., but is substantially dissolved in the polar organic liquid at temperatures of from 40 to 100° C.
