Abstract

The nerve repair material comprises an outer tube and an inner core matrix; the outer tube includes a multi-layer circular tube formed by curling an animal-derived acellular matrix material through vacuum pressing; and the inner core matrix includes a natural high polymer material and axially oriented micro-channelsdistributed in the natural high polymer material. The nerve repair material to which the invention relates has high biocompatibility, a good mechanical property and a a proper degradation rate; the outer tube, of a compact structure, formed by vacuum pressing has a good barrier function on surrounding fibrous tissue, and can stop ingrowth of the surrounding fibrous tissue and prevent nerve fibersfrom escaping; and the inner core matrix in which the axially oriented micro-channels are distributed provides a template for migration and proliferation of nerve cells, and orientational regeneration of nerve fibers can be guided and promoted. According to the nerve repair material, through the synergistic effect of the outer tube and the inner core matrix, formation of repaired section neuromasis reduced, and the recovery of nerve functions is promoted.
