A system and method for displaying still video images related to video content in an interactive broadcast television system. The system and method of the present invention may also be used for simulating an Internet home page on an interactive television system. The present invention thus supports hyperlinked web-like navigational capabilities in an interactive television system. According to the method of the present invention, the video delivery system provides or broadcasts one or more audio/video channels each comprising video content and also provides or broadcasts at least one still image channel comprising a plurality of still video images, preferably MPEG-2 compressed still images. The user or viewer can select options displayed on the television screen to view desired information. When the set top box receives user input selecting an option to view one of the linked still images, the set top box captures the requested image from the still image broadcast channel, stores the image in memory, and displays the captured still video image corresponding to the selection. The still image being displayed may have associated interactive program content for displaying further selections, wherein these selections may be for viewing other images or content, for ordering information, or purchasing products. The user can thus selectively navigate between the video content and stills in a web-like hyperlinked fashion. In one embodiment, when a user is navigating through still images, the television program or video content which was being viewed is displayed in a small window overlaid on the still image being displayed. Also, when the set top box captures a requested image from the still image broadcast channel, the set top box preferably also pre-caches or pre-loads other related still images based on the probabilty that these related images will be subsequently requested by the user. The invention also includes an embodiment which provides user requested still images "on demand" on a dedicated "search" channel.

Furthermore, the macropores within the material are communicated to the surrounding macropores by means of 12 small window holes, and the window holes are formed by sintering the template properly. The alumina prepared by means of the method provided by the invention is suitable for being used as a catalyst carrier of heavy oil and an adsorption and separation material of organic macromolecule. The alumina prepared by means of the method which is provided by the invention is suitable for improving the mass transfer capability of the material within the catalyst and is suitable for improving the activity and the selectivity of the catalyst during the application process as a catalyst carrier.

Method and apparatus for mura detection and metrology

The invention addresses the lack of comprehensive and quantitative methods for measurements of unwanted visual “mura” effects in displays and image sensors. Mura is generated by errors that are significantly smaller than what is needed for the function of the device, and sometimes smaller than the random variations in the patterns or structures. Capturing essentially all mura defects in a workpiece in a short time requires a daunting combination of sensitivity, statistical data reduction and speed. The invention devices an inspection method, e.g. optical, which maximizes the sensitivity to mura effects and suppresses artifacts from the mura inspection hardware itself and from noise. It does so by scanning the sensor, e.g. a high-resolution camera, creating a region of high internal accuracy across the mura effects. One important example is for mura related to placement errors, where a stage with better than 10 nanometer precision within a 100 mm range is created. A sampling scheme reduces the data volume and separates between instrument errors and real defects based on their different geometrical signatures. The high-resolution camera scans sparse lines at an angle to the dominating directions of expected mura defects, creating extended sensor fields with high internal precision, and quantifying edge placements in small windows in said extended fields. The mura is classified and presented as type, location and severity.

The invention provides a stereo matching method based on an improved gradient and an adaptive window, and aims to solve the problem that an existing local stereo matching algorithm is low in precision and is influenced by amplitude distortion easily. Firstly, on the basis that a traditional gradient vector only contains amplitude information, phase information is introduced, conversion is carried out on the original matching cost, and abnormal values are further eliminated. Then, the adaptive window can be built through the criss-cross adaptive window generation method according to the color and spatial position relation between adjacent pixels, wherein a large window is provided for a low-texture area to improve matching precision, a small window is generated in a high-texture area to protect detail information of the edge of an object and the like, and the aggregated cost is selected according to the Winner-Takes-All strategy so that a disparity value corresponding to the minimum value of the total cost can serve as an initial matching result. Finally, a disparity refinement method based on a local disparity histogram is provided, and a high-precision disparity map is obtained. As is shown in experimental results, the stereo matching method is high in machining precision and has high robustness under the condition of amplitude distortion.
