The invention relates to high-gloss thermosensitive paper and a manufacturing process thereof, wherein a base paper layer, a prime coat layer, a thermosensitive chromogenic layer and a top coating protection layer are sequentially arranged from bottom to top. The manufacturing process comprises: (1) selecting a coating substrate; (2) preparing a prime coat later coating liquid; (3) preparing a thermosensitive chromogenic layer coating liquid; (4) preparing a top coating protection layer coating liquid; and (5) respectively beating each coating liquid into the material grooves of a coating machine, sequentially coating a paper base material with a prime coat layer, a thermosensitive chromogenic layer and a top coating protection layer by using a metering rod coating method, discharging outof the machine, carrying out calendering, and sub-cutting to obtain the finished product, wherein the three layers are coated at one time. According to the present invention, the coating surface of the product has significant gloss, the gloss can reach 60-70% according to the different abilities of the calendering equipment during the processing, and after the product is printed, the thermosensitive color developing part is black and has bright light effect so as to achieve the beautiful thermosensitive printing effect.
