The method comprises the steps of: calcining the desulfurized gypsum in a calcining kiln, and then doping 1-10 permillage of water reducer, 0-5 permillage of retarder, 0.2-50 permillage of water-retaining agent, 0-5 permillage of reinforcing agent and 0-20 percent of other filling materials into calcined gypsum powder for modification to obtain a gypsum powder product with excellent property.
