Embodiment 1

[0020] The main components of Baotou rare earth tailings I (%): CaO: 20.98%, REO: 7.43%, TFe: 13.46%

[0021] This is low-grade rare earth tailings, with low rare earth content and high calcium content, so the separation of calcium compounds has an important impact on the enrichment of rare earths, and the preparation of calcium sulfate whiskers maximizes the utilization of resources.

[0022] The preparation process is as follows: the rare earth tailings are dried in an oven at 50°C for 10 hours, and ground to make the particle size as small as possible, which can pass through a standard sieve of 120 mesh / inch. Accurately weigh 15.00g of dried and ground rare earth tailings into a round bottom flask, add 60mL of 47% sulfuric acid, heat and stir in a 90°C constant temperature water bath for 5h, let stand, cool to room temperature, and filter with suction. Dissolve the sulfuric acid insoluble matter on the filter cake with (1+9) dilute hydrochloric acid, then filter with suctio...

Embodiment 2

[0024] The main components of Baotou rare earth tailings II (%): CaO: 16.1%, REO: 6.69%, TFe: 18.20%

[0025] This is low-grade rare earth tailings, with low rare earth content and high calcium content, so the separation of calcium compounds has an important impact on the enrichment of rare earths.

[0026] The preparation process is as follows: the rare earth tailings are dried in an oven at 70°C for 5 hours, and then ground to make the particle size as small as possible, which can pass through a standard sieve of 120 mesh / inch. Accurately weigh 15.00g of dried and ground rare earth tailings into a round-bottomed flask, add 50mL of 47% sulfuric acid, heat and stir in a constant temperature water bath at 90°C~100°C for 4 hours, let stand, cool to room temperature, and more than 90% of The iron dissolves and enters the solution, while the rare earth and calcium elements are still in the solid phase, and are filtered by suction to separate the solid from the liquid. Add hydroch...

Abstract

The invention relates to a separation and extraction technique for rare earth and calcium resources, in particular to a technique for extracting rare earth from a rare earth tailing and preparing calcium sulfate whiskers. The invention provides an organic solvent crystallization process for extracting rare earth from the rare earth tailing and preparing the calcium sulfate whiskers, which consists of three technical operations to realize the chemical purpose of extracting and separating rare earth and calcium elements. The three technical operations include: 1, a process of leaching sulfuric acid and diluted hydrochloric acid from the rare earth tailing; 2, a process of removing Fe2+ from hydrochloric acid leaching solution; and 3, a process of preparing calcium sulfate whiskers by adopting the organic solvent crystallization. The technique is applicable to extraction and separation of the calcium elements from various calciferous minerals and industrial wastes and has high feasibility, high product purity, simple process operation and low cost. Therefore, the technique has great significance in realizing the comprehensive utilization of the tailings and industrial wastes and reducing the environmental pollution and resource waste.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a rare earth-calcium resource separation and extraction technology, in particular to a rare earth tailings rare earth-calcium resource separation and extraction technology. Background technique [0002] The mineral processing plant produces a large amount of flotation rare earth tailings in the production process, and the calcium content in the tailings is relatively high. Researches have been carried out and some achievements have been made, but there are few relevant research reports on the recovery of calcium minerals. Therefore, the research on the preparation of calcium sulfate whiskers from mine tailings and industrial waste is not only the need of environmental protection, but also the need of economic and social development. [0003] Calcium sulfate whiskers (gypsum whiskers) are divided into hemihydrate, anhydrous and dihydrate calcium sulfate whiskers, which have uniform structure, complete shape, specific cross-sect...
