A safety applicator glove system and method is disclosed that is particularly suitable for use in situations where insect repellent and the like must be applied to human skin without contaminating the hands of the person applying the insect repellent. The basic system disclosed includes a glove or mitten with an absorbent outer surface and an internal barrier lining to prevent penetration of liquid on the outer surface of the glove with the person's hand that has been inserted into the glove/mitten. Attached to the glove/mitten proximally to the hand entry point is a protective sleeve/gauntlet that may be extended over the surface of the glove and sealed to act as a containment vessel for the liquid-soaked glove. When retracted, this protective sleeve/gauntlet serves to prevent contamination of the person making use of the glove/mitten system. Various embodiments of the present invention may also be applied with advantage to the control of contamination associated with biohazardous waste, including but not limited to use with surgical gloves and the like.

Wearable devices for dispensing insect repellents, fragrances, and/or other chemicals along the outside of the clothing of a human are disclosed. They are of the type that are clipped onto a belt or the like, and use a powered fan to dispense active. They are configured with fan rotor arrangements to minimize power use while still achieving acceptable air flow rates. These changes permit use of smaller batteries and more compact arrangements for battery positioning. This in turn permits a much more compact and lightweight construction to achieve the desired results. A horse and/or livestock brush releases a liquid gel solution directly onto the coat of an animal during brushing. Delivery of the liquid gel solution is activated by manually depressing the brushes cover. The liquid gel solution includes perfumes, fragrances and other active compositions including insect repellant, hair conditioners, dyes, moisturizers, or antibacterial compounds. The personal cleansing compositions of the invention provide improved deposition of hydrophobic skin actives, excellent rinse feel and skin mildness.

An alcohol-free insect repellent composition includes: (a) from about 30 to about 60 weight % of lemongrass oil; (b) from about 15 to about 40 weight % of essential oil of lemon eucalyptus; (c) from about 10 to about 30 weight % of rose geranium oil; and (d) from about 2 to about 20 weight % of litsea cubeba oil; the balance of the insect repellent composition to 100 weight % being water; wherein the insect repellent composition is free of non-naturally occurring ingredients. A crawling insect barrier is provided in the form of a plate, coaster, block or the like having an upper support surface comprising an insect free region for supporting an article to be preserved from contact with insects. The invention relates to the technical field of plant cultivation, specifically to a cultivation method for sweet potato. The method comprises the following steps: selecting sweet potato seedlings with a length of 10 to 15 cm, removing excess sweet potato leaves, inserting the sweet potato seedlings into agar, and carrying out culture for 15 to 20 days; after plowing garden soil, carrying out soil preparation and constructing a ridged field, and applying fertilizer on the ridged field and then carrying out uniform mixing; digging concave grooves in the middle of the ridged field, then carrying out complete watering, and inserting the sweet potato seedlings into the concave grooves; after carrying out planting, timely applying fertilizer and carrying out pruning; and after tuberization of the sweet potato, timely carrying out a supplementary pouring of a liquid insect repellent. The cultivation method for the sweet potato provided by the invention can improve the rooting rate of the sweet potato seedlings, does not destroy tissues of the sweet potato seedlings and has a short seedling-raising period, high transplanting efficiency, rapid rooting, early fruiting and capability of increasing yield by 15% to 30%.
