When the electronic equipment is in a state of authenticating an identity by the fingerprint, a processor controls the fingerprint recognition device to collect fingerprint information with first precision and executing the corresponding controls; and when the electronic equipment is not in the state of authenticating an identity by the fingerprint, the processor controls a fingerprint sensing unit to collect the fingerprint information with second precision and executes the related controls. The fingerprint recognition device of the electronic equipment is less in power consumption and long in service life.
