Problems solved by technology

The advantage of the macromolecular reaction method is that commercial polymers can be directly used as starting materials, and the relative molecular weight of the obtained products is high. The disadvantage is that the reaction is carried out in a high-viscosity polymer solution, and the reactants are not easy to mix uniformly.
In this way, hydroxyethyl cellulose (HEC) can be reacted with hydrophobic compounds with active groups. These hydrophobic compounds can be epoxy compounds with long chain alkyl groups, halogenated hydrocarbons, acid halides, isocyanates etc. It is also possible to connect hydrophobic groups at both ends of polyethylene glycol (PEG), but generally the amount of hydrophobic groups introduced is very small, because a high content of hydrophobic monomers will significantly reduce the solubility of water-soluble polymers, and Heteroatom backbone polymers are less thermally stable than carbon chain polymers
Because when the carbon atoms in the polymer chain are replaced by heteroatoms such as oxygen, sulfur, nitrogen, etc., the bond energy of the C-O, C-S, and C-N bonds is lower than that of the C-C bond, and the thermal stability of the polymer is reduced.

Abstract

The invention discloses a synthesis technology of a twin-tailed hydrophobic association polymer based on acrylic acid addition amount control. The technology comprises the following steps: preparing twin-tailed hydrophobic monomers; weighing the twin-tailed hydrophobic monomers and sodium dodecyl sulfate, and placing the twin-tailed hydrophobic monomers and sodium dodecyl sulfate in a reaction container; adding a solvent, and stirring; adding AM, acrylic acid, EDTA and urea, and stirring for dissolving, wherein a ratio of the addition amount of acrylic acid to the total mole of the AM and acrylic acid is controlled in a range of 20-30%; adjusting the pH value, and adding sodium bicarbonate; introducing an inert gas, stirring, and adding an initiator; introducing the inert gas, and reacting to obtain a polymer colloid; adding water for swelling and dissolving, dumping into acetone to obtain a precipitate, and washing the precipitate; removing residual water; and carrying out vacuum drying crushing, and putting the obtained powder in a drier for later use. The twin-tailed hydrophobic association polymer can be successfully synthesized through the technology, and the synthesized twin-tailed hydrophobic association polymer has the advantages of excellent performances, simple synthesis steps and substantially reduced synthesis cost; and the acrylic acid addition amount in the synthesis process is controlled to improve the intrinsic viscosity of a target product.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a synthesis process of a twin-tailed hydrophobic association polymer with controlled addition of acrylic acid. Background technique [0002] Hydrophobically associated water-soluble polymers refer to water-soluble polymers with a small amount of hydrophobic groups on the hydrophilic macromolecular chain of the polymer. A small amount of hydrophobic groups are introduced into the water-soluble macromolecular chain to make its aqueous solution exhibit unique rheological properties. Above a certain polymer concentration, the hydrophobic parts associate to form a dynamic three-dimensional network structure, thereby forming a large supramolecular chain aggregate, increasing the hydrodynamic volume of the polymer, and significantly increasing the viscosity of the solution. The addition of small molecule electrolytes can increase the polarity of the solvent, enhance the hydrophobic association, and produce obvious salt resistance. U...
