Abstract

The invention relates to a compound calcium monohydroxypentaborate monohydrate nonlinear optical crystal and its preparation method and use. The crystal has a chemical formula of Ca2B5O9OH.H2O, has molecular weight of 313.23, belongs to a monoclinic system, has a space group Cc and cell parameters of a=10.780(3)A, b=6.5110(19)A, c=12.339(4)A, beta=115.057(19) degree and V=784.6(4)A3. Through a hydrothermal method, the compound calcium monohydroxypentaborate monohydrate nonlinear optical crystal is obtained by program cooling or natural cooling. The crystal has powder frequency-doubling effect which is 2 times KDP(KH2PO4), has a UV cutoff wavelength of 190nm or less and can be used as a deep UV nonlinear optical crystal. The nonlinear optical crystal has the advantages of simple operation, low cost, low raw material toxicity, short production period and stable physicochemical properties.
